Support your local demo derby.

Here's a recent flea market score. Dated from 1991 and base plate on both the truck and trailer says 'Made in USA'. This is the same casting as the Mack albeit this version has a different grill with not Mack name. This a quite heavy little model.

Mack Ultraliner is what I think they based it on.

I never knew this tractor and trailer existed. Now to start tracking the set down.

I now buy any US-Made Ertl whenever I see one if the price is good, regardless of condition. Just about a month ago, I picked up a 1:32 version the box wagon for a buck, even though it had the little horizontal tab on the bottom of the hitch broken off. It will still hitch to my narrow front JD Sound Gard tractor though.

From the good, old days of ERTL when everything they offered was made in Iowa. The truck is awesome. The last time my son-in-law were in Dyersville (pre-Tomcia buyout but after they were together with JL and Racing Champions) much of the facility was a warehouse and part an outlet store for ERTL, JL and RC models. It was rather sad to realize this had one been a thriving manufacturing plant of American made farm toys and trucks.
