Those Christmas Gift Box models are a little odd. The models are made in the '90s, but the boxes are in the 2000s.

Easy to explain. Left over models ware used to make this boxes to sell them. In the 90s there wasn't much interest for models of Bulgaria.

I think that fact alone makes those interesting conversation pieces.

I know this by the fact that i know somebody who lives there and has connections into the factory.

Thanks Kurt, it is funny they have mixed brand names in the same set, I don't think that would be acceptable for those two companies here in the USA. :D

Thank you Hosspower98, been snooping around already and there are some nice models posted here and I see members posting pictures of models bigger than the average '3-incher', so that's good for me as well.

Welcome aboard, GhostHunter!

I'm more of a Doosie / Cadillac fan myself, but I enjoy a good Rolls and / or Bentley when I see them!

I really like your "Auxillary Power Truck" in the pic! What's the story with that one?

Thank you Kurt, I think I recall your name from Nick's Vintage British Diecast forum. No, I am not a member of the '3-incher' set (had to be careful how I expressed that!!), maybe soon.

Thank you Juantoo3, the 'Aux Power Truck' you mention. During 1993-1995, The Matchbox #39e, Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II was manufactured in China, but they had not grasped the idea of putting the model on it's correct 'Blister Card' so examples as shown exist with the wrong description on the card..!

Welcome Ghosthunter, I wish Matchbox could get RR licensing again, I always enjoyed collecting them.

That black one is great, I'd never seen it before.

Thank you Dug-my-toys.

Yes it would be nice if Matchbox (whoever happens to own the name at the moment!), could have another licence for Rolls-Royce models. They had actually planned a new Rolls-Royce Phantom during 2009, but negotiations broke down between BMW and Mattel and it never materialised.

Corgi however has recently aquired a Bentley licence and should be launching a new Bentley Continental GT and they are planning a range of classic Bentley cars a little later on during 2015.

Scalextric have also released a Bentley Continenetal GT.

Not surprising two new Bentley models are coming our way from the above two companies, because they are both part of 'HORNBY HOBBIES' and it is more likely they have the licence to allow a couple of new models from their various 'Brand' companies.

Welcome Ghosthunter. Never seen a Black 3 inch rolls before, looks good. What may I ask is a 3 incher? Other than someone who collects 3 inch 1/64 scale cars only maybe? (which I guess would be me) It's nice to hear someone will be making good old English cars again, hope they do many more :-)

Nice batch! I'm a long time fan of the Holden UTE, and the Mercedes convertible is one I appreciate anytime I see it complete without a broken windshield! That's the first I recall the kennel truck in green though...
