I forgot all about the Pepsi truck, I think I have one of those somewhere too.

And here I thought I had many of the Blazers already, but with the group you just showed FiatCoupe, I see I'm needing at least a few others. Especially like the white wrecker. I'm not sure from the pic, but is that an older one?

Yes it is.I think it's a promotional model a Britannia Rescue is/was a real company.Saying that,I've just looked at it again & although it has the ribbed roof & fuel cap,it also has the hole for the gun

Thanks, it's a great looking issue.
Still having the fuel cap along with having the hole in the bed is a casting variation I didn't even realize existed....more versions to keep a lookout for I guess. :duh: :D

WGee shows a couple more I need :duh:

I think these are the last of my versions of the Blazer.....That I have collected thus far anyway. :D

This is the only one I have with a sticker label rather than tampo print graphics, I don't know why they applied a sticker, but if I'd have a guess I'd say that maybe they couldn't tampo in chrome or foil like this, since chrome is normally a heat plating of some sort and not just a color you can stamp on with a tampo machine, isn't this true?.... It is shown in this color with this chrome background sticker hood label in the 1989 catalog.

Thanks, I didn't pick up on that, and checked them at home after reading your post, thinking it might just be the photo colors off, but there is a difference in person.

just found this Coke promo which I'd forgotten about. My records show I got it from a local shop back in 1997.

Some more of mine.I've noticed something else too,the later version with the smooth roof doesn't have the outline of the doors on the side of the body

Right, and if you look more closely, you'll notice that the body contours have been altered as well; the upper concave surfaces have been "smoothed out" on the front fenders and doors. Same for the Coca-Cola and Texas versions.

I wonder if the tooling was damaged, and they had to machine some areas to save the mold.

The Chevy Blazer is one of Bert's favorite Majos.

To be honest: I like the casting but I do not like those oversized wheels of that era.
For me, the Blaster would have been much more attractive if it came with the normal wheels like shown in the 1982 catalog...
