Really nice pictures, Patrick! I too am a fan of this model, as the detail is simply superb, and like you, I had to get two of these!

Here's my example:

A nice version of the Unimog fire engine - I have managed to get a few of the different country versions that Siku has made.

German and New Zealand versions

This model I can afford, but I don't get why I haven't bought it yet.

This is definitely a nice model. It's been on my list since I got my first Siku catalog with my first Sikus in 2009 or so when Tuesday Morning had them for $0.75.

I've always wondered why the New Zealand models are so hard to find. In addition to that, why Siku doesn't offer the NZ and Swiss models worldwide like the other countries. There's a few New Zealand based online toy stores that carry them, but I don't know if they'll ship to the US.

Now there's a Siku model I don't have. Need to put this one on the list!

One of my favorites, for sure! Very similar to recent European forest fire engines (and a big selling point for me)....though I know Unimogs are common as rescue trucks and 'normal' pumpers too.

I'm impressed how play-worn yours are, carcollector. All of mine are still very minty. Which, of course, means I haven't taken the time to just play with them (and I don't have any kids or grandkids to do it for me).

Some mfg's chose to make models exclusive to certain markets and thus the only place they seem to be available although there is a die cast dealer in Germany that carries most of the Siku "foreign models" such as the New Zealand and Swiss models. The New Zealand and Swiss models in my collection have come through trades with collectors in those countries over the years.
