I drove my local Toys R Us yesterday, on the way home from some shopping, hadn't hit the store in quite some time. No AW, little HW's to thrill me, but as I was dredging the pegs, I saw a red tired Cobra. Hmm. Whipping out my Samsung smartphone, I surfed Safari and found several on Ebay listed as raw Chase vehicles. So, I pulled the one I saw down, and just for yucks, started swinging the cardboard looking down the peg....another, another....and ANOTHER! You kiddin' me? Ok, so are these over-produced, or did I just get a lucky break and found 4 of them in ONE store? I ended up buying all 4, as I figured I might could finance some more AMC diecast purchases with the resale of these. But if I found four, are they that uncommon? I don't think these are as rare as some of the other Shelby Collectibles... I also found 4 at one TRU a couple weeks back... There was a seller on eBay before that had 10 for sale |

I don't know if it's that they are necessarily easy to find so much as unevenly distributed. In the past I know Shelby Collectibles was known for packing multiple chases into one box. I remember reading a post somewhere with one of the rarer of their chase cars (Like a one of 50 or something along those lines) where someone found 6 in one shot. I don't know for sure on these, could be most stores got them, could be just a few people are getting very lucky. Either way, I'm sure you'll more than be able to recoup what you paid for them and then some on Ebay. |
