The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Back for our eighth straight year, the Keystone CARnival has had a date shift. I know everyone's used to mid-April, but for 2015 we've moved the show to the last weekend in March. March 27-29th is when all the action's going on in scenic Lancaster County, Pennsylvania!

For those who've never been to the CARnival before, it's a gathering for diecast lovers of all ages featuring gravity racing, banger racing, sales/trades, and more!

Comfort Inn
1 Denver Rd
Denver, PA 17517
Phone: (717) 336-7541
Fax: (717) 336-0515

http://www.comfortinn.com/hotel-denver-pennsylvania-PA658

Ask for the Keystone CARnival event discount when booking! Rooms should be $79/night.

You're not that far away, and the show is worth it!

Good to know. Possibly a better date. I know sometimes that first weekend in April encroached on holiday stuff with Easter and made the budget even tighter. But it's always worth going.

That's no fun. I may be starting a new job soon myself, so who knows exactly what that will bring. Time will tell.

 I'm going to be there! Then on to NYC to visit my niece, early B day vacation, I can hardly wait! :toy: Hanging with others who like die cast is good therapy.
Just got to make arrangements...with my niece while she's back for the holidays, and figure out a way to bring some collectables & customs.
Hope to see you peeps in March...

I'll make room in my calendar, but as usual I can never know what monkey wrench will be thrown in my path :). I may have to do the VAN thing again and find a different route to avoid the tolls. I invested in one of those Hot Wheels drag strips with the timer so I will be testing my entries. I have an ever growing box of "fixer uppers" and "junk yard dogs" which I should bring for all your customizers. Sometimes when you buy bulk at estate sales you have to take the broken pieces in the lot.

I want to go bad to meet all you fellas. Is there a way I could find a cheap airfare up there and back? If there is let me know please, anyone. One day I will show up and see who you rascals are and then laugh when I tell you who my rascsal self is.

Not sure about cheap airfare, but I was travelling extensively to North Carolina last year. Assuming you drive your Mustang, you'll be getting roughly 340 miles on a tank of gas (not sure what mods you've got in it, so it might be less). Gas has gone down drastically since last spring, so a full tank should run you $40ish. Four tanks total should get you here and back and even if you need a fifth that's still $200. Probably cheaper than airfare, and as an added bonus if you know anyone locally who wants to come you can split the gas costs too.

Thanks Sean but I would be driving the Mercedes Benz she gets about 32 ish on the interstate. How about the weather? Will it still be snowing there? Also thanks for the heads up because I'm going to ask now for Tina to accompany me if she won't I will be on my own. Thinking real positive about being there.

That's better mileage than the Mustang for sure! Weather is a crapshoot unfortunately. There's the potential for snow through mid-April, but most years the snow stops by mid-March. The show's a little earlier than we'd like it this year but that's when we could schedule it.

I hope you can make it this year!

Swifty how much time in advance do I need to make reservations? It also would be cool if we could comply a list of whose thinking of coming or who is.
