Saturday's when all the action is, so stop by even if it's only for a little bit. This year's show is going to be a bit smaller than normal due to a few outside factors (not the least of which is the big traveling toy show in Edison, NJ the same day) but we'll still have gravity racing, banger racing, and lots of cars for sale.

Leigh, sorry to hear you won't be able to make it. Maybe next year?

I'll be hitting the road in appox. 26 1/2 hours. Kinda' sucks that i have to work a morning shift tomorrow, but I'll be there about the time everyone is gathering in the early to mid-afternoon.

Safe trip, Jedi...and to everyone else who is planning to hit the road soon!

I'm fortunate to live about 1hr away, so I'm heading out tomorrow AM. I'm still not sure what I'll be racing this year. Since my preparation time has been limited, the current plan is to pack the car to capacity and hope that my fastest car is in there. But I will be bringing some "fast" redlines this year and I'm really lookin' forward to seeing everyone again.

feeling bummed I couldn't come this year. Last year, I was worried my dad would die while I was down there. He lasted another 3 weeks :( Thanks to those who made me feel welcomed and talked to me about their own stories of taking care of elderly parents. I was fully ready to come down but then I thought my new LADY was going to come and visit this weekend. Her child ended up breaking his face while playing with the family dogs and HER dad had to visit the hospital for painful swelling in his legs. Soooo, I sit here wishing I had the funds and ability to make a road trip at the last minute. Poor kid, has a fat lip, 2 broken teeth and a walnut sized knot above his eye. But at least I have my health, my mom seems to be stable and I get to do something special tomorrow.

I am going to the Watkins Glen Motorsports Library to hear Oscar Kovaleski of Auto World fame give a talk about slot cars, diecast and other racing related toys. They are having their 2nd annual model car show. I wish they would have said something as I could fill up 10 tables with Racing Collectibles of all sizes and shapes and value. I'll take some photos and make a report about this event. IT may be something some of you PA, CT and NY collectors might want to check out. I'm going to observe and hand out business cards. I've already had 2-3 people from Elmira come up to my cases where I sell up near Finger Lakes Race Track and Casino.

Have fun everybody, hopefully I will be in a better place in my life in order to travel and bring lots of stuff to display, sell and otherwise. I lost money last year with expenses of gas, lodging and food, but as I said before, I had a good time meeting the Faces behind the Screen names. I also filled in some holes in my collection and helped some clients up here become Happy Campers with some of the items I bought from Hutt, Bray's son and other sellers. Take and post lots of photos.

Not there and I regret it but there is plenty of great people here and that you can't put a price on. I wonder if Mac is going to be there? He's such a great guy I would have enjoyed seeing him very much.

Excellent, Robert! Sean and I are having pizza and he says hello. We are hitting up a museum in Hershey and then I am heading to Baltimore.

And thanks for bringing some cars out, Ed!

Back from the AACA Museum which was a great way to wind down an amazing weekend. Some familiar faces were absent but we made lots of new friends this year. The racing was fast and furious (as always!) and we have a pair of kicking event cars to show off. As everyone knows I'm big on surprises, and I hate ruining what the event cars will be in advance.

But now that the show's over, the cat's out of the bag... :kitty:

They're GreenLights. One's a Mustang, and the other is a MoPar. And while both may be missing roofs, I assure they're packing plenty of punch under the hood. Pictures soon!
