Unknown pullback McLaren F1, Koenigsegg CCX and others

I just picked up these pullback cars from a seller in China, the same guy that has been listing the newer Yatmings like the Lincoln Continental Mark II:
http://www.ebay.com/usr/sellerrui?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

Stretchdog posted the Rolls Royce already, and it seems as if no one knows a brand or manufacturer but they are definitely pretty cool. They have many, many flaws, but still present very well in hand. The Ferrari in particular looks really bad in pictures but looks a lot better in person. The Koenigsegg CCX and McLaren F1 both have doors that open, but they both open incorrectly as I imagine it would be too difficult to engineer them to open right in scale.

As noted in stretchdog's thread, the manufacturer name for these appears to be CCC. At least that's how I've seen them referred to elsewhere.

CCC is a safety certification for Chinese products, so that's not the brand. Each one also has a number, I think it is 001085 but I don't know if that's some sort of reference to a brand or perhaps the certification number?

Some of these were posted over 2 years ago so I guess we can say they are not new.

I received my cars today. They do look better in person. The seller also tossed in a Pajero-like SUV for free. I also picked up a couple of RMZ City pullbacks which are far nicer

Interesting that they had been out awhile. In the post you linked it didn't have the koenigsegg, McLaren or rolls. I wonder if those are older too or if those three are new? I'd agree that rmz is superior but then again I'd expect them to be since they are more legitimate. Also, thanks to Dean for pointing out that the brand on the box is marked Dream Becomes True.

Yeah maybe are newer. The numbers on the bottom are fairly close ranging from 901 to 912

Wow - I remember seeing those now. Diecastdingo had promised to keep me in mind the next time he visited that shop, and then he up and disappeared from Swifty's shortly after posting those models. He hasn't logged in for well over two years. I hope he is doing well, and that nothing happened to him.

I am very excited that I was able to get these models finally, even though I didn't remember that I had seen the "first wave" of them back in dingo's post.

The Koenigsegg, McLaren and Rolls-Royce castings are not new, they were available in Spain more than 3 years ago. It is just a matter of chance, depends on the selection of molds in the set that arrives to each shop.

About the brand, I can confirm that it is Dream Become True. Thanks to Diecastdingo's photo of the box (in the original thread about this line) I started a Google Image search and I found more products with exactly the same brand name and logo... here you have one as an example:

Here you have a zoomed image centered in the trade-marked logo...

Mentalpower's image reminded me that I picked up a couple of 3-packs of similar Mercedes Actros type trucks in the Dordogne region of France a few years back. Checking my old lists I find it was 2006. The Merc trucks appear to be based on Siku castings.

These models are currently in storage but I did find I had a couple of old images....

Once inside the outer box, the models have individual boxes with the Dream Become True brand name. Unfortunately I haven't got a handy image of the back of the box, but on my 2006 list I have recorded the manufacturer's name as "Harmony". I expect that this is actually a distributor's name, taken from a sticker on the back of the box.

They seem to have made good use of this casting, with lots of versions with different rear equipment. Similar to Mentalpower's image, my other 3-pack has this excavator, crane and what looks like a hydraulic auger. They're crude but I like them.

Wow! these images are very useful to try to piece together a better picture of this brand.

It is interesting to see in your photos that the brand name was there already, but the logo was not yet created.

Mikey, could I post some of your photos in the Spanish uno64 forum? There we have a thread about Dream Become True where we are trying to get as much information as possible...

http://uno64.mforos.com/2078532/11392196-dream-become-true-dreamcars-copy-made-in-china/#106038054

Of course you will be referred to as the author of the photos. As you picked this set in France, it would be interesting to know if some Spanish collectors also picked this set....

For the rest of you, in this thread you will see more photos of the same molds in some other colors.

The company added an "s" to the newer assortment of models. The packaging now shows Dream Becomes True.

Hi Mentalpower. Please feel free to share the images with anyone who's interested.

Here are some closer images of the refuse and skip/dumpster trucks

When you compare the cab casting with the similar one from Siku, there are some obvious differences, such as the rear view mirrors and the windscreen wipers.

Hi Mentalpower. Please feel free to share the images with anyone who's interested.

Thanks a lot, Mikey. Let's see if any Spanish colelctor recognizes these old sets.

Dean, May I also include your photos in the uno64 forum?. Funny that, after almost a decade, they realised there was a grammar error in the brand's name and changed it.

Thanks a lot Dean for the permission. will let you know if there is any interesting new facts coming from the discussion with Spanish collectors.

In the meantime I have been searchig for more information on Dream Become True / Dream Becomes True and I've found lots of models in the 1:24 and 1:32 scale, that seem to be their main business.

Posted Image

Just to give some examples, here you have 1:32 versions of the Koenigsegg CCX, Lamborghini Aventador J, Ford Evos and Pagani Zonda R

And as an example in the 1:24 scale, here you have the recent Lamborghini Urus... (the box in this case has the modern "Becomes" version of the logo)

Now, back to the 3-inch size, I've found more trucks under the Dream Become True brand and logo...

Posted Image

This one includes the same castings Mickey 1/64 showed us in the old packaging. The only novelty is the heavy machine on top (guess is a lifter, haven't found close-up photos for it).

Posted Image

And this is the same Mercedes-Benz cab with yet new cargo variations, all themed around Fire Brigade vehicles. For these I do have close-up photos...

And here we have a new mold, a helicopter...

Posted Image

To finish my contribution, also managed to get close-up photos of yet another mold, the heavy loader that is included in the first set I found in Google Images...

Kudos to a new company for putting this much effort into diecast. I wonder if the larger cars are actually licensed, or if "Dream Becomes True" is so hidden / disguised deep in China, that they don't fear ever being found by lawyers. The wide array of languages on the packaging tells me they have always intended to get these cars into as many markets as possible. Here's hoping they can endure and continue to bring new products.

I'm a little slow sometimes, with now seeming like one of those times, but I just now noticed that the Jeep Rescue Concept first shown by diecastdingo, no longer has the "Jeep" script with upside-down 'ee' on the back.

Which is a shame, because that was about the most entertaining aspect of any die-cast I have ever seen

I actually admire the effort here. I like the Ford Evos, and I've always wondered why no one has done a decent 1:18 of it. If anyone here has one, (in any scale), I'd like to see better pictures.
