From Hawk Models (Lindberg) Extreme Customs Cruisers line, this is 1:24 scale diecast model of a 1954 Buick by Thom Taylor Design entitled "Buikool". There are six other cars in the series with names like Rumba Tub, Swoop Coupe, Haulucination, InsaniSedan, Beach Reacher and Chezoom. The model comes with a clear plastic display case and they are also available in a kit form without the case. The Buick has an opening hood and that's it for opening parts. The convertible top is removable and the front wheels are non-steerable. To perk the model up, I added some color to the engine, blackened the exhaust pipe ends, painted the seats' inserts, painted the chrome steering wheel black as well as the sun visors, and added black to the side window struts. Thanks for looking... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

"Extreme Customs" sure is accurate for a product name. That's quite a bit wilder of a custom than I enjoy collecting, but I enjoyed going through your pictures. |

Remarkable how much it looks like an Austin Healey. |
