Cool Jay there is interest in the Thunderbirds!

Yeah I have been searching for a few years to complete the set ... Very difficult.

Here is what I have so far ...

I think you are right Brian ... The entire collection was merely opened as a kid and never played with ... Now enter me lol.

Great score! It's "fun" to buy collections to get a few needed models, only to end up hanging on to others once you see them in person!

Love the military pieces and Thunderbird 1! "Thunderbirds are Go!" was my favorite show as a kid!

Also, does anyone know if those Zylmex construction pieces came as a set? I also had those as a kid and it seems that when I see someone with one of them, they usually have the others with it. (Last batch of pics = Orange front loader, Orange digger, Yellow bulldozer, Green dump truck)

Thanks! Jay
They were sold under the names "Mini Macks" and "Dyno-mites". The castings were mostly copied Tomica castings and copied/shrunk Grip Zechin castings. The Dumptruck was copied off of the matchbox MAck offroad dump truck. They were sold individually and displayed like this

Based on cars I still have from my childhood, it looks like I had the Mini Macks and Windracers Playsets. (I found the Zylmex tribute site you referenced above)

Thanks for the information and pictures and apologies for the slight thread hijack!

Far from the usual bag of chippers I might say! They all look like they were taken care off. Absolutely nothing in the lot that would pique my interest but congratulations nevertheless!
