Recently, I purchased a large scale plastic PECO Energy GMC Top Kick pole truck off a member here, and have learned it was made by DG Productions.

What all have they made, so far I've found they made a Ashplundh tree-trimming truck (love to find that one), a Schwan's refrigerated truck, and a bucket truck (all GMCs and 1/25 too)in addition to the one I've bought plus an F150 in 1/25. They also made a few 1/64 models, like an International bucket truck, and various tractor trailers.

Are they still in business? The link provided in an old forum post was to an expired website (or link farm, as some call it).

Was there more than one version of the pole truck? All the ones I've found had a boom lock on the side of the boom base, and battery operated lights. Mine has at least no traces of the boom lock.

*In Memory Of*
They made a line of GMC Utility Vans. I have around 20 different.
They are also banks, all plastic, 1:24 scale I believe.
Here is an old pic that I had handy.

DG was more of a promotion company than a manufacturer. They did a lot of 1/64 utility trucks for various departments as promotions.

The also did tractor trailers usually using the DCP trucks. I think the DG may have actually been part of DCP.

I have some of their 1/64 International cabs and box trucks in my stashes.

I believe they also went under the name "Playforce" and thats how I have them catalogued. Along with the Pole Auger, they also made a bucket truck. I have both with the PECO logos, but have seen them with other power companies logos. I also have a short wheelbase IH Wrecker that I believe was done by the same company. I have the 1/64 diecast IH Hiranger Bucket Truck also.
