Support your local demo derby.

Have read on the boards that DG has been a decent place lately of scoring new Matchbox. The fox body Mustang police was already taken but did score the other three most wanted releases. The other stores . . . namely Wal-Mart in my area . . . have been rather poor for the last quarter in putting up new MB.
'14 Chevy Silverado 1500 - It's listed as 1/64 but looks closer to 1/75 scale wise. Rear brake light tampos do not curve around.

'68 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 - Perhaps my favorite MB SUV model of the last 5 years this one in brown looks great with the 1980s era color tampos.

BMW M1/1M - Metalic blue is a terrific repaint color and actually looks nicer than the debut orange imho. Like the '14 Chevy pickup, the brake light tampo is flat and not curved around making the rear look awkward.

The blue on the Chevy and BMW are actually different though it doesn't show up well in the pics.

Congrats on yhe finds,, Craftymore!

I managed to find one of my M1s, the FJ40 and the Silverado at Toys R Us, while the Mustang SSP was found at Kmart. All the FJ40 needs is some color on the front to be even better looking.

There are a total of three Dollar Generals within 20 minutes or so of me, the one in my town is one of the larger Market stores. The newest one didn't have any when I visited on around Dec. 22. If it weren't for so many shady looking people, which kind of creep me out, I would have already been in the Market location several times looking for Matchbox, which I know has them, or at least they did in 2012, which was when I last visited. I really need to check the third one, which I don't think I've been in for about 15 years, as the last thing I remember getting there is a set of Zylmexes when I was little. Family Dollar needs to carry more Matchbox year round. This Christmas, the larger one had Skybusters, and last Christmas, the other had mainlines from an early batch, in which I picked up the Toyota 4Runner (in about Oct. or Nov. of this year!).

Not a chain I have access to - closest one is over 200 miles away in South Dakota. :)

I've found exactly one Silverado. The taillights bugged me so I used an idea shown by Dean to fix it. I used a silver marker and filled in the taillights on the side of the truck bed. After it dried I used a red sharpie on the silver and voila! Red taillights that wrap around like they're supposed to.

I found my Mack Fire and Toyota Lifeguard at a local DG. Was also surprised to see them for $1.00 while they were trying to get $1.25 for HW. Sadly, they haven't restocked anything since then.

Same choices I made from the batch, except I found the police car, but skipped the BMW, though I may still get it, the pictures you guys have showing sure make it look good.

BTW, I found them at DG as well, only one of each of these there, but I've seen remnants of the batch at other stores, although always missing the Silverado and Mustang.

Zach, your BMW 1M is a perfect example of proving that the front tampoe is too small. The bottom of your light and the portion nearest the grille is right where it needs to be, but a decent portion of the top is left out.

The top of the whole tampo now should be the height of the circular LED headlamps, and the part not tampoed should be the bright white "eyebrow" in the headlight.

This small quibble has started bothering me more and more. The big, wide headlights make this car.

I think the 1M casting is a letdown in general. Cool to see the car done at all though.

I consider myself very lucky to have found these, and the CHP Mustang, at Target. Only one of each, but I was able to get them. The batch with the green Taurus/Interceptor Marshall car still hasn't shown up anywhere around here though....

That is awesome! I haven't gotten to the detailing on this new batch yet, but I'll be making those same additions on mine.

Same here... I'm not even sure that I've seen remnants of that particular batch at any store that I've been to.

I picked the one up with the "Marshal" spelling up at Walmart a couple of months ago. Never even saw the Marshall spelling one.

Do you still have pics of that technique, I'd like to see how that works.

Just got the Silverado today in Hammond, IN. It's nice, but I agree the "1:64" on the baseplate just doesn't seem right. They also had the 1M and the FJ40. No Mack fire truck, but I'll keep looking. DG usually is where I find MBX that I can't get anywhere else.
