Lesney Regular Wheel/Transitional Collection update

I periodically rearrange my Lesney shelves. They're in catalog order, and I just stick new ones on the bottom. Once I get a few rows of new ones, I'll go through and insert them in the proper place on the shelf. And afterwards, I always like to stand back and admire them. I've put a lot of effort into this collection over the past few years, and I'm very proud of it!!

Great looking collection! Are the duplicates all variations?

The majority of them are, yeah. Some aren't, like most of the teal/red GMC Refrigerator Trucks. I buy extras of those when I see them with their back doors. The Scenicruiser buses, most of the regular wheel amber window ones are the same, I just seem to gather a lot of those. And the Ferrari Berlinetta is my favorite casting, so I grab as many of those as I can haha.

Beautiful collection! I got to ask about all them 31 Lincoln variations, I've never seen so many colors, are some prepros? They look great on the shelf!

Lots of customs in the Lincoln collection. The steel blue and silver ones are repaints, and I did a chassis swap so I've got a gold regular wheel and teal superfast.

Nice collection!

But I don't dare think about dusting time.

I'm curious though as to the shelving set up. I see the backing board has ULINE on it, but I cant see how the shelves are set up/supported.

Yeah dusting time isn't much fun... But that's part of it. Rather have to dust then have them boxed up where I can't enjoy them.

Yeah the board is just the cardboard corners they use for protecting big pallets of boxes. I was putting an order together on a pallet one day at work and the idea came to me.

The backing is just foam board, held to the wall with 3M picture hanging adhesive strips and nails. The cardboard is held to the foam board with super glue and duck tape. Don't judge me and my inherent cheapness :D

That's very clever actually. It's funny too because I run across those corners occasionally at work, they are a very stiff cardboard, almost a masonite type hardboard material, but when I see them I often wondered if there was something I could use them for, they just always seem like they can be used for some project, now after seeing your display I've got an idea to consider.

Oh, and your custom Lincolns are very cool, always liked that casting and would have loved other colors from Mbx.
