The old green car--High Speed. More than likely came from a series of cars issued by Reader's Digest with their condensed books. I have three or four of this exact one. The big truck--Kidco? I guess Valvoline may have contracted those cars out. Edited by cody6268, Jan 18 2015, 03:58 PM.

The vintage car is indeed by High Speed and the Valvoline was and indeed is still being made by Golden Wheel. |

![]() Olds Rocket is definitely Golden Wheel. Brass era oldie I'm guessing Summer...been a little eye opener of late, seems both Summer and High Speed had similar looking lines of brass era cars, can be a bit tough to tell them apart and I don't think anyone here has put the effort yet into telling them apart with any certainty. Truck is a bit far gone for me to tell. Looks like an old International (1:1) maybe. ![]() Kidco car carrier I have, about N scale (+/- 1/100 or thereabouts, iow tiny). I've seen Ertl tractor/trailer combo issues, they are noticeably larger than the Kidco issues. |

The High Speed old timer cars have the 300 series numbers on the base, whereas the Summer cars have S-series numbers, or no numbers at all. The base shot makes identification easy on these, but yes, in the package or otherwise no access to the base, some of the High Speed and Summer old timers can look alike. |

The above HS model is a Model T Ford ( I seem to recall it is 1909) This was the first year the T was produced by Ford which lasted through 1927 with updated styling changes before being replaced by the Model A. |
