I hit the Mall on Wednesday after visiting a Barber shop to trade some unwanted diecast cars from the Thrift store for an Obama Presidential HO scale train ( another story ), anyway, I hit the Five Below store, and they had the Rad Racers restocked with new vehicles. The cars were pretty suckie, but some of the new trucks grabbed me,so I bought a few of each. I wanted some Rental trucks for a business on my HO railroad. The Airport ladder trucks will also play a part in one of my dio's. Not sure what to use the water and Freeze trucks for yet, but I'll figure that out later. Here's what I found that I bought. ![]() Jerry Edited by 78Gremlin_GT, Jan 22 2015, 09:55 PM.

I found those same trucks at five below this past Christmas season. For the price you can't beat them. |

Great casts, actually produced by a company called Shing Fat. Our friend Diecastmania made a video on the original release, the rollback. Watch it to see just how good for the money these are. |

Those are some nice looking trucks - should look good on your layout. I would think you could put the "Freeze" truck by the supermarket with frozen food goodies.

I'd get the freeze truck and make SYSCO, Sodexo, Aramark & US Foodservice side graphics, and Penske, Budget & Ryder ones for the sides of the rental one |

I have picked up many of those roll-back trucks, as you don't see flat-beds like that often. Pretty nifty that the bed even tilts and slides back, too. They will be used on my train dio's eventually. I just found the rental truck at another 5-below store, hadn't seen the others until I went to the mall store and found a whole new line-up from last year's models. Some nice ones at that! For the price, they can't be beat. I may try to modify them, as the bodies sit way higher than the chassis over the wheels, not too realistic. Will see what can be done about that. Still, I won't turn them away. Jerry |

The "Truck--Truck Rental" is clearly a Ryder rip-off. These trucks casting-wise look great, but I find a lot of the decos cheesy. But, with detampoing, and some decals, I'd say they'd look great. The tanker, with it's ground clearance and apparent 6x6, would definitely make a good model fire department tanker. Edited by cody6268, Jan 23 2015, 01:08 PM.

For $1? Not bad at all! I'd say the ground clearance is a bit off, but Freightliner's M2 series of trucks has the same issue. Wheel arches are enormous.

![]() ![]() Today I noticed this on a teacher's desk, so here's a photo from the web. Could be a give away item from the company which is a office supply distributor. [EDIT] upon further research, they seem to be distributed at varous sporting events sponsored by WB mason, each with a different team tampo'd on, depending on the matchup and location Edited by Diecastmania, Jan 26 2015, 10:50 PM.
