Lets say you have 2 66 SS396 Chevelles in your driveway, which one would you take the biggest car show of the year? or maybe just to go out driving for the fun of it, the modified pro touring car? or the freshly restored factory stock?

The freshly restored, factory stock. But that is the way I am - usually I like them original than modified.

Calling that hooptie a "modified pro touring car" is like calling the homeless "Urban outdoorsmen". But I digress... The stock one. Great pic BTW!

I'd take the yellow one if it had a raised suspension like some of the old Chevy cars I'd seen around. :D

Seriously though, stock for me as well.

Stock in this case - I don't mind the paint but those silly over-rimmed wheels are just too far out for me. Some nice chrome or aluminum mags, fine, but not that carp. :P

Yeah, stock for me, too. I love the custom, but the stock one is black. Black is my favorite color for muscle cars.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Stock. There are very few instances where I support modifying a classic car. Most of which come down to there's not enough left to be worth restoring but it could still be hot (or rat) rodded.

And that custom is just horrible. I love two-tones, but seriously that's a horrid color combination. And those rims... GAH! Classic cars shouldn't be slapped with 18" wheels. I go to a lot of car shows and i see it way too frequently. No. Just no.

That modified looks like it's from the 90's. But since y'all are fighting over it I would take that, have it sprayed a nice uni colour, add some decent wheels but still retain the upgraded brakes and suspension and the engine tweaks.

The pro-touring one of course. Mind you, I'd swap those wheels from some 19" Volk TE37s. I can live with the paint as it is.
The stock one might be picked over the pro-touring one to take to a car show, since car shows tend to attract a lot of 'omg you ruined it, you changed the head gasket!' types.

Stock for me as well. I'm not against modifieds, but not overly fond of the wheels or color scheme here. Basic black is more my cup of Joe.

Personally, I'd go with some Watanabe eight-spokes, but that's just me. I'd go for a Trans Am-style build.
