Built to specs of the US Army between 1959 to 1982, this Utility vehicle (M151A2) was first made by Ford, and later Kaiser and AM General were also producing them..... And then of course Maisto built them too. This is a smaller Maisto set (with pullback mechanism) that I picked up loose late last year at a train show, it's funny that I also have the same two pieces in olive which I picked up loose at the same quarterly train show a few years back. What I am curious about is how they were sold new, etc, I'd never seen these at stores, and they aren't the bigger range of Maisto, which I thought odd being a pullback in this size, (shown below with an old Mbx for size), so does anyone have any info they can share about these models? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks, Doug Edited by Douglas, Feb 2 2015, 05:47 PM.

Wish I could help with this one - like you I remember seeing the other Maisto models - even the GI Joe offerings on the pegs, but can't say I ever ran across these. |

It came in the GI Joe series by Maisto in the late '90s or early '00s when they had the Hasbro licenses of GI Joe and Tonka. Unlike a lot of the smaller GI Joe models, these were dedicated castings not issued before by Maisto. All of them had pullback motors. |

Thanks Cody! Looking on ebay I found them and captured a pic, but I couldn't believe all the Maisto GI Joe stuff, I collected a lot of the 3" singles, but don't remember half the stuff I'd seen there, just like these, they seem to have come in slightly bigger packages, it's funny that while the other pullbacks seem a little bigger models, this MUTT doesn't appear much bigger in scale than the 3" jeep, but I guess it comes with the trailer. I've realized mine doesn't have the red tampo (maybe gi joe logo) on the trailer like it appears to have had when new...probably the train guy who owned it first cleaned it off. It might have been on the MUTT as well
