Boy, talk about unusual! I found these at the train show, I NEVER find any small Pilen diecast. I found 3 on Saturday. Two are Chrysler 150 4-doors, the other is a wagon I'd never heard of , a Seat 131 Familiar? Huh? The bronze wagon is near mint, super sweet, and the Chryslers aren't bad, either. Very nice, too nice to leave at the show. :P So they join my eclectic collection.

So what you're saying is, you're unfamiliar with the Familiar?!?

Seat was what Fiats were sold as in Spain. So that could also be called a Fiat 131 wagon.

Yup, more than $1, less than 2, apiece. I'd say I didn't get swindled on this deal.

I really like the Chrysler 150, but then I'm a sucker for hatchback cars.

:) Nice.

Yeah the Seat 131 Familia is a Fiat 124/131 Break. Nice finds. The "Chrysler 150s" are Chrysler by Simca 150s. Good stuff :)

:toy: Those are some very nice additions to your collection and a surprise that you found them at a train show. The Seat/Fiat 131 is my favorite of the bunch but then I have a weakness for wagons.

Very nice find ! Seat indeed assembled Fiat models under license for the Spanish market. Seat is now part of the Volkswagen-Audi group, just like Skoda.

Wow, learned a lot about Fiat just by buying some diecast cars... ^_^ I'm not much into the foreign models, I know a few names like Cortina, the Opels, but many probably have been under my radar since I don't normally collect them specifically. I've seen a few Fiat sports cars in my time - the 400, 850, Spyder, among them. But that'ts pretty much been my limit as far as history and models. Good to know more about these particular cars. Thanks, guys!

:toy: I have always found that toy car collecting has a nice "educational" element to it. One can "learn" of the various ways police and fire, etc. names are used in other countries as well as brands of cars - some of which have connections such as Seat to Fiat.
