Sorry about the packages, but I never expected to collect so many Sky Busters over the years, let alone have anyway to display them, this not all I have, but my favorites. I like collecting NASA models, so the Space Shuttle is a natural favorite SB for me, here is shown with the old Lesney issue, and the more recent casting (packaged), this is the Atlantis, but I have another in a Mission Force set, I forget which one that is, but they also did the "Discovery" I believe it was, as a single, but I never found that in stores. ![]() ![]() A cool 2 pack, with a couple great SB, the Piper Comanche and the Learjet ![]() ![]() This is what they call a Ski Plane, I mistakenly thought it was a float or sea plane....Oops, hope they don't try to land on water because of me....anyway, I think it might be a licensed plane, but don't know the make. ![]() I believe this is the DC10, but I like the Mc D's livery. ![]() ![]() An issue from the 80's, Pitts Special in a Virgin Atlantic scheme ![]() ![]() ![]() The SST in British Airways livery of course. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ah yes, Sky Busters from back in the days when they represented real military aircraft and actual airlines...and were fun to collect. |

The "ski plane" seems to be based on a Cessna 172 Skyhawk.

I'm not an aircraft collector but those models are very nice and I will certainly add some of those when I can find them in the future.

Thanks everyone, and thanks for the pic and info on that Ski Plane Joe. I know they'd look much better displayed loose, but no place for a display, although I did once have this big bi-plane facade about 3 ft wide, made out of wood, and it mounted to a wall, the wings were display shelves, about 6 inches deep. I always planned on hanging it and displaying Sky Busters on it, but when I moved a few years ago to a much smaller place, things had to go. |

I don't care what Matchbox called them, that's a float plane. (I understand your use of quotation marks indicates your agreement....) Here's a "ski plane"
