Here's my pickups from July 2014. I know it's late, but I never got around to showing them (all in one combined thread), and I think I forgot to post some other photos too.

#1: Hot Wheels Mighty Maverick ($7.50 Originally On eBay On 7/4/2014, But Was Free With eBay Bucks) (Seller said it was found buried underground in his backyard while digging, hence how the roof got ripped off.)

#2: Hot Wheels Bugeye ($4.25 Originally On eBay On 7/4/2014, But Was Free With eBay Bucks)

#3: Lot Of 57 Diecast Cars ($9.00 at local garage sale on 7/18/14) ($0.50 ea.)

#4: Lot Of 57 Diecast Cars Pt. II ($9.75 at local garage sale on 7/18/14) ($0.25 ea.)

Support your local demo derby.

Fascinating assortment of models to buy. What's the thinking of buying the Majorette Impala and the RL Maverick in such lousy shape?

My thoughts exactly...

I do see quite a bit of good stuff and decent prices, and the redline part lot should come in handy if you ever decide to start restoring redlines.

The Majorette Impala was the result of a bidding war. I only Intended to pay $3 for it. The Maverick was free. I bought it because it's a rare color and I don't have but 1 other Maverick to speak about (in pink).

I do not restore redlines, these are all legit purchases for my collection to fill cars/colors I'm missing. Doesn't matter what shape it is in, a car is a car to me. Plus, I don't have the budget to go blowing $100+ for one single car. lol

Fair enough, and I can certainly relate. One upside is filling out what examples were available (such as what paints, wheels, tampos, etc.). Lordy knows I can relate to not spending a fortune on one piece. I do have an upper limit, and even then it has to be a *really* special car to get me up there.

Restoring redlines isn't a bad thing, in my opinion. It is an opportunity to turn one person's trash into another person's treasure.

Bottom line is, I meant no harm with my comments. As always, your contributions are appreciated!

Actually, the one that stands out to me is one of your worst wrecks. I'm speaking of the Marx Jag XKE.

Ah yes, that. Missing front axle, and paint is peeling like 90's GM paint. I was shocked to find that Marx at the yard sale, in just some random toybox cars! I can hardly find Marx cars on eBay let alone just 3 houses away from my own. lol

Congrats, you got some pretty nice models there, except you probably shouldn't have got caught up in that bidding war for the Majo Taxi, but you already know that now. :D

I'd never seen that HWs Good Year truck, I like it. Who makes that old F1 racer in light blue? It looks like a pretty nice model too.

I have no clue, I don't remember. It's all-plastic though.
