The only other vary I seen of this Pinto casting was this blue one that came in the variety pack... Was there any others?

Nice casting, but those were some big ol' wheels/tires that JL put on it, weren't they? They looked too big when they used them on the '60 Ford wagon that I have.

:toy: True, a Pinto was a bit of a surprise to see in diecast but great that they did some of the common, everyday cars that were on the roads back in those days.

I wished I had drove a Pinto in High School instead of a Chevette. Put some fat tires in the back or remember those lettered tires they would look great on the Pinto. Thanks for sharing Steve.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
These are the only two variations of the casting. JL also did a Pinto funny car and brought back Ertl/Nutmeg's Pinto dirt modified, but only two stock ones were made. Thankfully MotorMax did a number of other colors on their Pinto casting.

While the modified casting is still making the rounds, I had forgotten all about the Pinto funny...good memory! I know what you mean about big letter tires looking good on the back of a Pinto...even a JL version!
