EFSI's 1974 Fiat 242 is our van for today.

Fiat 242 was a van which was produced by Fiat from 1974. This van was the result of a cooperation with Citroën and was sold under the name Citroën C35 in France.

It was not only produced as 242, but also as Citroën C35. He had a good success, especially in the motherland, thanks to his skills extreme ruggedness and reliability. A little 'less good for the body, particularly subject to rust. In France collected success with the French trademark.

Among its other qualities were the cargo plan the carrying out very regular and with a reduced height above the ground, aspects which allowed a good use of the load. The model was also used in configurations, drawing versions for public transport and leisure with adaptation to campers.

The Diesel Engines were derived from Citroen.

Between the'70s and'80s dominated the market for means light in Italy by dividing the success almost alone with his predecessor Fiat 238 and Ford Transit.

Its production ended in 1987, replaced by Fiat Ducato, while in France the production of "cousin" C35 continued until 1992, then transferred to the Polish FSO produced as "Lublin" and with some aesthetic modifications.

Diecast from the Netherlands isn't so common in the US which is all the more reason why I'm glad to have this EFSI in my collection.

:toy: I always enjoy seeing EFSI models in a collection - since they are not that common, it makes them that much more special in a collection. The Fiat/Citroen is a nice model and neat to see the minor casting differences, etc. that EFSI did on these models.

I think I see:
"Avro's Top Pop Disco Shop"

So now I'm trying to figure out why a Disco van would need an emergency beacon....

Wait! I've got it! It's a disco ball light.....right?

I think I see:
"Avro's Top Pop Disco Shop"

I don't think I have ever actually tried to read it before.
I got mine out, and tried. It hurts the eyes to do so, and I am using a magnifying glass, 2 of them!
I am having a lot of problems with what may be "Top Pop", so I will stay with that also.
But, Shop, is, I think, Show.
So -
"Avro's Top Pop Disco Show"

In my defense, I was looking at small pictures on my phone. Now that I'm on my computer, I definitely see "Show" instead of shop.

That got me curious to :google: and I found YouTube videos and other information on "Avro's TopPop Disco Show" which was a Dutch music TV show from the late 1970's and early 1980's.

Now, I am even more interested and intrigued by this little van!
