My Eligor searchs kept coming up showing 1934 Ford tow trucks and others, yet the diecast base is embossed "1932". This Eligor [Hobbycar] (1087) is a 1:43 scale diecast model of a Ford Motor Company tow truck. It is about 90+% diecast and rather heavy for its size. I bought it discounted from an on-line store a while back. One small part needed to be afixed to the truck body. This is the only example of an Eligor model in my eclectic diecast collection, and I'm quite pleased with it. Eligor is one of the few diecast manufacturer to still manufacture its products in France. Eligor's production process can be broken down into 7 stages: http://www.eligor.com/en/company.asp Thanks for looking... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

That's awesome! It's nice to see a company that still utilizes metal construction and keeps local workers employed.

A long time ago I had picked out a bunch of Eligor models to add to my collection of Matchbox Yesteryear models. Unfortunately something came up and I had to redirect the money towards that. They are very nice, well detailed models. The Sunoco Wrecker is a winner!

Beautiful! The point on the bottom of the radiator suggests to me a '33-34 model, but the cab screams '28-32. I am presuming this is based on a French "import," and if what I've read concerning Aussie Fords holds for Europe, it wouldn't be at all surprising if indeed the earlier (leftover) cab was mated to a "modern" at the time cowl forward and chassis drive train. Makes for an interesting looking ride! |

Looks Great--Check! Still made in Europe--Check! Those two facts alone really make me want this model. Even though the cheapest Eligors on sale are towards the high end of my budget, I need to get some. Great Find! |
