Today's Car of the Day is Die-Cast Promotions' Peterbilt 379.

Wikipedia

The 379 was Peterbilt's flagship truck from 1987 until the 2007 model year maintaining the nameplate's signature long-nose styling coupled with a rugged edged yet refined profile.

Man oh man, if you like semis there is not much better in the world of die-cast than a DCP. Their models are perhaps the most detailed mass-produced 1/64 die-cast ever made, and I do not say that lightly. They are also true 1/64 and quite large. I have 2 of these now and they are both two of the nicest and most expensive pieces in my collection. You get what you pay for though and these are beauties through and through. There are probably more parts in the above picture than in your typical Hot Wheels 5 pack and yes the wheels do steer.

DCPs usually come with highly detailed trailers as well. If you know me well, you know I like my Porsches, so I figured I'd load this one up with some 917s!

That is a pretty piece.DCP is the new ERTL miles ahead of the old casings.DCP trucks come in series I ,II and III detail levels . Series I being top of the line has a removable cab and sleeper to show of its detailed interior and the inside of the trailer is as detailed the outside, down to the floor boards
