I found this Dragula and was told it was one of fifty. It's number 18, it also says Happy Halloween from Mark Hosaflook on the left panel inside. I must've missed larger scale Jonny's or something, is this a custom of a regular release. It doesn't look homemade but the banner sorta does (sorry Mark H). It's very cool and I'm glad to have found it but I haven't seen one this size before.![]()

Johnny Lightning made a couple castings in 1/43 scale and this was one of them. At the moment, I can't remember the other one. I didn't collect this scale so don't know much about them. There was a regular release and I believe that Mark H. had a few "specials" made. Back in those days, he had a lot of "specials" made. I do have a bunch of Lightning Fest castings from back in this time frame. My favourite would have to be the black Chevy Camaro convertible. Cheers. Cobra |

Actually, JL made several models in 1/43, including this and the T'rancula and several typical muscle cars...although I don't recall exactly what ones offhand as I didn't get into them either other than a single copy of the T'rancula passing through my hands. The larger scale were called "Magma." If you look for Johnny Lightning Magma you should find them. JL also did a few 1/18 (I had a BWF T-bucket) and a nice old White tractor-trailer combo with the JL logo and name on the side with a lightning bolt. |

Thanks guys, who was Mark H? Did he work in-house or was just a customizer. |

Mark was/(is?) a South Bend collector who organized events (racing, customs contests, etc.) around the original Playing Mantis Lightning Fest warehouse sale.![]() The "Mark's Missile" Gremlin is so named as a thank-you for all of the work he did to promote the brand. "Door-Prize" is a reference to one of the many activities he added to the Fest. Mac Photo courtesy JLcollector.net |

Wow, thanks for the info Mac. He sounds like a hard workin' guy. I would've loved to have attended a JL warehouse sale, my gosh! |

Nice model Jim! I remember the bigger ones in the stores, including this casting, but I didn't get any. |
