While visiting my 2nd home in NC, needing to do some plumbing repairs before the house is sold, I found an Ollie's overstock store near the Lowe's , so hit it on Saturday morning. Boy was I surprised! About 7 or 8 pegs, full, of JL cars! :D Many I had, some I had passed on earlier, some I had never found before. So I wound up taking about 28 home with me. The red Boston panel was one I'd missed, and I think the VW with cross on it, too. Others I had passed on, but decided, with JL gone, I would pick them up now. The Torino, the Camaro, Challenger, among others I'd passed on, I took home. Here's what I saw :

:toy: Kind of like finding buried treasure! Wow...look at all of those JL cars. Glad you were able to add a lot of models to your collection. I was able to keep up on the emergency vehicles but see this store had the R-24 of the Chevy Hearse which I am still trying to track down. I am guessing Ollie's would be similar to a store like Big Lots.

Even those of us who did pretty well during JL's retail run will have to admit you SCORED! I see a couple in there I would have added to my collection.

Timing is everything. Nice timing for you!

WOW... Major jackpot I would say... I would have bought everyone of them... Congrats!!!
I do see some cool stuff people find in these Ollies stores, but there is only one close around here that is the "PURE DISCUSTING PITS" Filthy floors, junk and dangerous shelving, bugs crawling on the merchandise, and out-dated Christmas candy still on the shelves. I couldn't believe people would shop in there. It is a hole in the wall!!!

Congrats!

I see a bunch there I would have wanted to take home as well.

Back when they were regular retail, and after (because) WM jacked up their price on them by 75%, the same pegwarmers from the batches seemed to sit there forever with the ones that would have interested me long gone before I got there, and the only other source in my area was TRU, or the grocery store, and of course neither of them restocked either, plus the prices jumped up everywhere a lot more than I wanted to spend, I still don't know why they went up so much.....That was a nice price you got on those though.

The last year or so that JL was still making cars I rarely found them on the pegs. I got most of mine through Russ at Milezone - if it hadn't been for them, I would probably still be looking for a lot of those emergency vehicles that were parts of the various releases.

 Great finds, my favorites are the monte carlo, citation x-11, caprice, and aspen R/T. But they all are great

Nice finds. Rather surprised that I haven't seen these at other Ollie's locations more recently, as most of them seem to have had a huge influx of Tomica products from quite a while ago.

Shame that the prices are marked up. Unfortunately, Ollie's doesn't seem to have discounts on single cars like that (see: Tomica 2-packs, HW Cars of the Decades/Garage) too often...

Holy cow, what a score! A lot of those I never found in the wild, I'd have a hard time walking away without buying that many myself LOL.

Same day, different Ollie's (Bethlehem, PA):

They didn't have nearly as much selection, but if they had, I'd'a left a lot more money there! I already have several of the cars you show that I didn't find, but I would have grabbed duplicates, since they are among my favorites. Besides, can anyone ever have too many '58 or '69 Impalas?
