I generally prefer vintage models to modern ones, so by my reckoning we have three "old" cars and four "new" ones. Of course, being a fan of air-cooled cars the Maisto Squareback got some consideration too, as did the lovely Jaguar. But in the end, when one is a 4-door hardtop. a body style that never really caught on anywhere else in the world, well, this one went to the honkin' huge (little itty bitty) Siku Olds Ninety Eight. And, with the Olds leading the voting 6 to 1 to 1 to zip to zilch to nada to nothin' at this point, I think there is some agreement with my point of view! It's still early, but I think this blowout might hold up. :bangles:

:toy: Oh my...the choices you have given us this past week. Vintage Siku, vintage Schuco and vintage Polistil Penny...not to mention a Jaguar from Hot Wheels (not vintage but a Jag :petkitty: Well since we can only vote for one...I went with the Alfa Romeo from Polistil. Those old '60's era diecast toy cars are awesome!

What a great week. I'd vote for every single one if I could. The Schuco Audi is the one that I'd most likely purchase, as it's quite lovely, and I don't have any Schuco Audi's. But the Alfa has my name written all over it. I have the police version, and I still watch the auctions waiting for a red or blue one for the right price. It's definitely among the nicest castings I've seen from Penny, which considering how much I like everything they have done is saying a lot.

I find myself having to vote for a Mopar this time - and I am an Olds fan. I think I might be feeling a bit sick, you guys go on - I'll be okay in a bit - maybe.

Support your local demo derby.

The vintage Olds 98 from Siku trumps the newer fancier models.
