The Atlanta Braves are so horrible this year that it makes me want to curse. For years they had excellent pitching and horrible batting. Now they couldn't pitch in a little league game. They are so horrible people look forward for their team to play us because we make they look like heroes. I'm going to two games next month for my wife's birthday and looking more forward to visiting the Zoo or eating Krystals . They shouldn't even play they don't deserve to be paid or get television time. Thank you for allowing me to rant and good day.

Makes me think of the old theme on ABC's Wide World of Sports - the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Every team has its off year or years - look at the Boston Red Sox - world champions one year and I think have struggled to stay out of the cellar for the last couple of years. Think it is even harder when we are used to or team(s) being winners to watch them struggle and not perform the way we expect them to. |

I do remember when they won the World Series. I remember they had the curse of the Old Bambio. It will be over 15 years ago when we were this pathetic. Well as my Dad use to say, "Sometime the Bear eats you and sometimes you eat the Bear. This year we were eaten by a lot of bears for laughing out loud. |

Our Blue Jays were better than average but not outstanding this year. They spent a heap of money to sign up players to fill in the gaps in the last month or so... now 1st in AL east. Everyone here is looking forward to a pennant and maybe a run at the Series. Rogers Center is in excess of 40,000 per game lately, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon . Who knows , but its just MONEY It suddenly looks like 1992/93 around here. Now onto the Toronto Maple Leafs... I haven't got enough bandwidth for that rant

I don't understand why some people just throw cars in a package and hope for the best. Two instances this week and one back in January that annoyed me. These were all for random lots of less than perfect cars, but crummy packaging made things worse like throwing stuff in the dryer. Most put a little care even with cheap lots, but these 3 didn't. First one: About 20 cars just tossed in a priority flat rate cardboard envelope. Of course the cardboard was all beat up and creased as everything shuffled around. There was actually a hole in the package and a ladder was awol from a fire truck. Thankfully that was the only thing that escaped and the items I actually wanted were still in there. Small assortment of paint chips in the package from the cars scraping on each other. Second one: Thirteen cars in a ziplock bag in a priority cardboard envelope. An extra layer and no hole in the outer package, but still some small paint chips in the bag and a small piece of interior plastic that I don't know which vehicle gave it up. Third one: Twenty eight cars in a grocery bag, in a priority box (yay for that at least) and some crumpled paper on top. There wasn't enough paper and it was all just pressed flat so everything could rattle around by the time it got here. My best collection of paint chips yet, busted gumball off a fire van, mystery small chrome piece, and a hole in a windshield. Even better the pictures on the listing were all from above so I couldn't tell that the fire van had no wheels and one car was missing the doors. The description just said "view pictures" and I'd given them the benefit of the doubt. I'd still have bought the lot with the 2 pre-shipping issues as it was cheap, but an annoying surprise on top of the crummy packing. *sigh* |

I enjoy the same from mail in cars. Your ladder going Awol and your sellers hoping for the best and you doing the same just doesn't cut it. After numerous times of these experiences are just too much disappointment to endure. I generally am disappointed if I can't inspect the items in person. This hobby isn't cheap and finding items in the store are sometimes spent more on gas than actually finding it. Though my experience is finding it in the wild is so much more rewarding. Don't know why but most times true. After a while you have to judge what works best for you. Possibly rolling the dice at times and hoping everything will weigh out with the good and bad. Is it physically broken, or is Windows just confused now that you went back to 8? |

You know I'm to eager to tell my business here before I think because I see you guys as family. The equipment was cooked. I got another one at Best Buy and the Geek Squad installed it for free because I'm a paid member. It would have cost fifty dollars to install and the burner was forty so I saved money again. These guys are great. They will install anything free there if you are a member. They also remote your computer and will do maintenance on your computer anytime you want. |

Glad you got it fixed. I worked at Best Buy for 6 years (home theater as I'm computer illiterate), and having seen some things behind the scenes not sure if I'd trust my computer to them. But like anything else in life it all comes down to individual employees so I'm glad it sounds like they know what they are doing. |

Occasionally while driving in the evening, often it's dusk, but beyond dark enough you need the headlights on. I'll pass by a car on one side of the street or the other, and notice they have no lights on. These are newer cars, so I say to myself, surely they know it's dark, you're going to get ran over there! or a ticket, but then I notice something..... .....the dash lights are shining bright inside their car. What idiot car companies would design a car with automatic dash lights, when the outside lights don't come on too! I say, either no automatic lights at all or they all come on when the sensor says it's dark! There were more than one make I'd noticed this with, one was either Toyota or Honda, and the other I believe was an American make..... I don't really know, I couldn't very well see the makes....IT WAS DARK! |

I find it about stupid people wearing their pants below their buttocks with the underwear showing. I think it should be banned. It's indecent especially around the young ladies in High School at the bus stops. |

Not so much a rant, as an amusement, but I like looking at Craigslist/ Auto Trader/ Ebay Motors listings and there are definitely some questionable listings out there. I thought this one was funny: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=76179&endYear=2016&modelCode1=SUPRA&showcaseOwnerId=615343&startYear=1981&makeCode1=TOYOTA&searchRadius=50&showcaseListingId=405580484&mmt=[TOYOTA[SUPRA[]][]]&listingId=384112126&Log=0 According to the seller it is "un-molested" and "basically stock". You know, except for the custom pearl white paint job, custom rims, after market suspension, multiple engine mods, and completely redone interior! |

Well, none of that was going to be too hard to replace with stock parts until he got to the paint and interior. At least it's tasteful I guess. |

Yeah, I think it looks pretty nice. Plus true stock twin turbos are approaching insanity level pricing, so a tastefully modified one is cheaper. |

Jacks BBQ post opened a peeve of mine...STOP Buying Chinese BBQ's. They are a bloody waste of money and are destroying our economy .It might suck to spend 2 to 3 times the money to buy a Weber but they are more fuel efficient , 10 year warranty on the burners ...good for abt 20 years VS a Chinese grille which has a warranty that expires the moment you buy it and all the important components rust out in 3 years. Was a vendor for Home Depot for 5 years , ran their assembly program for 30 stores . When they take all their house brand Charmglow (Chinese made ) product with issues an throw them in the dumpster because they cant get parts , where does that leave the consumer who's spent their hard earned money?....a secondary market vendors warranty service line with no one at the other end ! You cant buy replacement parts .When it comes to Chinese tech , whether you spend $100 or $700 , you get the same crappy components . Just using Weber as an example in the 20 year lifetime of a well maintained bbq , you will purchase ? 6 cheap imports ? burn twice as much gas and spend half your time with a rusted out burner Onward MultiCorp ( Broil King , Sterling , Broilmate ) is an other domestic manufacturer of decent grills with a decent warranty. 80% (just guessing ) of North Americas BBQ's are coming from China now, they have killed of most of our superior manufacturers They are like sticking mag wheels on an ox cart and calling it a Hot Rod Look at the cost of the food you will put on it over the years Stop ! They're not bad because they're Chinese, they're bad because they are made as cheaply as possible. An American company could do the same thing and a Chinese factory could build the highest quality grills on the market if they just wanted to spend the money on it. |
