How about some Zs?

All of mine have the rear axle that's a little too far back, I believe I read they fixed this later on, but I haven't obtained one of those yet.

Nice collection, Always liked this cars styling, I think I've only got the one Majorette though, in red, I'll have to check later and post a pic (if I find it). Don't remember the axle being off on mine, but maybe I just never knew so hadn't thought to look.

I didn't know about the axle placement.
I think I have only one example of this casting.
I'd like to see the axle variations side by side to see the difference.

Nice green one.

It'll be pretty obvious if you have one that's an issue. The rear wheels are nearly touching the trailing corner of the fender. It is like the early HW Racebait 308s that the front wheels were too far back.

The rear axle problem is more due to production tolerances than an early problem that was fixed on later models - imho!

Or does only your models with antenna socket on the rear right fender do have this problem?

The antenna socket was removed on later models because of sharp edges and possible hazard for little kids...

Oh wow, I didn't even notice the antenna nub on the 2 blue ones versus not on the others.

All 4 of mine have the rear wheel nearly touching or scraping on the fender corner. The axle doesn't really slide forward, so it isn't just like it is hanging out at the back of a rather loose slot on my examples.

Is that all of the color variations, or are there more?

That's funny because I always joke that with older Majorette they never made two alike, there is always some variation involved. :D

So far, only one for me I think...

Judging from the frequency here on this post, this color is a more common one.

I have seen a few beat up ones lately on the large auction website, nothing worth pursuing...

I noticed people were posting that frequently. It amuses me that I hadn't come across a good one when looking and instead got one like it, but the blue bit is instead just a halftone screen of the red.
