TOMICA
REGULAR TOMICA, EXPANDED RANGE
No. 121 thru 140 = Long Tomica
No. 141 thru ?# = Dream Tomica

UPDATED: MARCH 2018

(STOPPED AT OCTOBER 2017)

TOMICA are a line of diecast toy cars and vehicles currently produced by TAKARA TOMY of Japan.

It was in 1970 that Tomica diecast first came into the market under the guiding hand and watchful eye of Eijiro Tomiyama, founder and head of Tomy Kogyo Company, Inc. of Tokyo, Japan. That first year, Tomica started with only six models: the Datsun Bluebird SSS Coupe, the Toyota Corona MkII, the Toyota Crown Super DL, the Toyota Crown Police Sedan, Toyota 2000GT, and the Datsun Fairlady Z432. Each Tomica vehicle was sold in a small box. By 1979, the total number of vehicles grew to 180. Since 1987 Tomy has consistently offered 120 different models.

In 2009 the line expanded to 140 with the reintroduction of Long Tomica.

In 2013 the line expanded again, begining with No. 141 under the name Dream Tomica.

Takara Tomy continues to keep things interesting by phasing out models every year and replacing them with new ones.
