Sweet cars! I need one of those white Porsche 944s and the red one straight across from it. Great stuff.

Awesome! The variations are growing by leaps and bounds.

We really need to see this stuff in the database!

(I'm not sure if you noticed I updated the casting list so you can click on the name and it will take you to the page for that model....makes it a lot easier to find what you are looking for.)

I like to collect variations too. :D You can double or triple your variations by setting them in the bright sun at different intervals.

thanks for the kind words..

and yes Wes i noticed your upgrade to casting list.

Hoss,i understand what you are referring to but i only do the variations issued by the
various makers.i am sure some varis that i have might be sun faded.if i do suspect that
one is sun faded then i do not keep it.

I know I've been bad about noting sun fade in the past as well...but in my experience the first tells would be the window glazing and any other exterior plastic bits (other than perhaps chrome, but even that has a tendency in some makers to "disappear" over time whether in sun or not). Another tell is the interior plastic, which typically doesn't fade evenly (unless a convertible).

So there are certainly ways to help confirm sun fade, or not. The paint typically is the last to go.

At least that has been my experience...your mileage may vary. :D
