The Corgi "A British Car to Beat the Word" was an awesome find at $1. These were originally released as Rover promos, probably only in the UK.

While released in the UK as a promo they really weren't that hard to get even over here in the US.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I see several that made the $12.50 case purchase worthwhile, if they are as good as they look.
yeah? which ones?
I'll admit some of the sections didn't have cars so I put a few of my purchases in there to protect them
so I think 4 to 6 were empty :P
Hard to make out everything, but to start the Front Runnin' Fairmont *if* it is as nice as it seems from above, the side (and roof) tampos are busy and frequently get damaged, both MBX Porsche 911s (which if you want to part with, I may be interested...), I think I see a purple HW Shelby Daytona (don't recall the "real" name), the MBX Cortina rallye (I may be mistaken, there is another model with the same livery), the white HW pickup beside the Cortina and the "Desert Dog" (Majorette?) in front of it, Rompin' Rabbit, the Alive '55 Nomad is worth a look considering the company it is with...if original 70s issue in good shape is easily worth what you paid for the lot...if Vintage era 90s, worth a lot less, the Mazda RX-7 is worth a look, and several more...*pending condition!* If noticeably played with, you did good but less so. If they are as nice as they seem from above, with very little playwear, you got a very nice batch of cars at a reasonable price.
First of all, the Nomad is probably from the 1980s. Base dates are usually no indication of when the model was made. There are some from the Sweet 16 that still exist in the lineup, but probably in a modified form.
It has never made sense to me that, during the Lesney era, a number of sports cars had trailer hitches, but some trucks, like the old F-150 never had a hitch.
The Classic Nomad was an early car, but it was retooled for the 74 Flying Colors and renamed Alive 55. That one is probably a chrome 77 or 78 issue since it has regular BWs on it, then it was kid painted light blue as you can see some paint on the exhaust and rear wheel.
