I love this car in real life, and enjoy several of the cars you posted in my collection as well. Although the casting is far from "state of the art", I think the most serious issue is the ill-fitting hood on the Boss models. The profile shots reveal an overhang on the front-edge which is inaccurate. A close second would be the high-rider stance. Lots of gap between the top of the tire and bottom of the fender opening. The Street Freaks version takes away the hood issue and the real riders on the Cover Cars model fill up the wheel gaps a bit better.

That being said, I agree with your comments "I've seen worse and not bad for the era".

I've got the calendar girls one. I figure the stance can be fixed but that hood... Eventually I'll come up with something, but it might involve removing a lot of metal with a dremel.

Matchbox spanked Johnny Lightning on this generation of Mustang....and the Matchbox was under $1. Nevertheless, I still had to have all that I could find of both brands.
