Another Pace Car recently added to my collection - the 1979 Ford Mustang. I like the markings on the original, and JL did a great job of reproducing them.

Nice shop and great pictures. I have the gold one now for sale but it's nowhere as nice as yours.

Saw a pretty decent 1:1 of this car on Friday growing up in some weeds beside a tire shop in Lincoln, Nebraska. Only it had later 83-86 Mustang wheels on it as I suspect the owner grew tire of sourcing special tires that the original TRX wheels required.

Why didn't they paint the rear bumper black?

I collected a number of those Indy 2 packs back in the day, I'm almost positive at least one was with this Mustang, but can't be sure which color, that silver does look real familiar though.....Now if I just knew what box they were in. :D

This updated version of the casting had better detail. smaller wheels, lower stance and finished bumper.

 This was a nice one from JL in their pace car/Indy car series - think I had most of them at one time.
