Welcome to Swifty's! The Skip Truck is a neat model, don't think I'd ever seen a real one in the US, but I guess they are common in GB. Didn't know about the Majo model, they sure go well together. If you want to see something funny I did years ago, I found an old beater once, missing skip, so I made up a cable truck of it using an old thread spool.

Welcome to the Garage! Those are a nice pair of skip trucks. They look to be pretty close to the same size and compliment each other nicely.

I got a generic Superfast Skip Truck (Lesney No. 37) sent to me by accident from an ebay seller--I bought a Majorette Mercedes airport fire truck for the silver deck gun/nozzle (variation to the black one in my collection) from him, and being a red truck, he somehow mailed the red skip truck to me instead of the Majorette. Fortunately, he realized his mistake before mailing my Majo to someone else, and sent the fire truck along, letting me keep the accident. I guess the skip truck I got, which has a "futuristic" cab style, is older (?) than the Ford Cargo version? Seems weird the generic by Lesney would be different than a later issue (80s/90s as stated above?). Mine's got no "skip" or whatever the skip arm is supposed to carry. |

I like the pair up of the similar Matchbox and Majorette offerings! And welcome aboard! Douglas, neat idea to add the spool and repurpose one that some people would have tossed out. |
