Hmmm interesting, though I wouldn't have got that snow blizzard vehicle, but since it matches the Superlift firetruck I probably will, I like themes, though there might be limited choices of models for an Arctic theme, ahh, not really a problem, they are toy cars after all they can use whatever models they want, we'll still be happy to collect them ....Haven't seen either of those around these parts yet.

I had picked up the Snow Blizzard simply because it had a "red cross" on the side and figured it would be a unique and fun addition to my ambulance collection. Was truly surprised when I found the Super Duty with the same design and markings. |

I'm not a fan of a wildland fire engine being tagged as an "Arctic recon" vehicle.....even after more than 20 years in the sub-arctic fighting wildland fires....but at least Matchbox dropped the white tires from the parts bins. (There HAVE been grass/brush/black spruce fires above the Arctic Circle.....occasionally very large fires....but in general there aren't really forest fire trucks stationed up there. Most access is by smokejumpers for initial attack, then followed up by helitack and handcrews flown to the scene for extended attack operations.) That said, I found one of these in Albuquerque and brought it home with me, and will likely buy another one when/if I see it in local stores. I probably have the Frost Fighter (or Blizzard Buster or whatever that tracked casting is called) but it would take some effort to confirm it. |

Thanks for sharing that Brian - I see the 2012 version comes with the #4 - nice that they used different numbers.
