I can remember having these cars as 1/24th plastic model kits as a kid... These were the original colors on the boxes.
I've seen these in many different colors by JL, but this is how I remember them...

I still have some of these older JL castings.
It was a very long time ago when they were released.

Never had the kits but was thrilled when JL brought them out in diecast in the appropriate colors.

The Collectors series had the correct colors and wheels. FAO had the correct colors, but something about the wheels was off (I don't recall the details). All the previous retail editions took liberties with the colors and wheels.

I had the "Quicksilver" version in 1/24 scale. In the late '80s and early '90s I had a real one as my daily driver - midnight blue, L60s and F70s on baby moons, 348 tri-power, custom headers and 8" Cherry Bombs; I still miss it. I have several JLs now - if it'd been true 1/64, I'd have bunches! :D
