007 BMW 7-series; Did it exist???

I remember years ago in the Tomart Johnny Lightning book at the bookstore that showed a picture of a one-time release of the 1997 BMW 7-series in the James Bond 007 line for "Tomorrow Never Dies." Did this casting really exist or was it a pre-production model that never was?

I'm going to say pre-pro that never materialized, since JL never had a 7-series in the lineup. This is the first I have heard that one could have been / almost was.

As far as I am aware, Kyosho had the only Bond 7-series in small scale, and Siku had the only other version of that generation 7-series, albeit never as a Bond car.

I don't remember a Johnny Lightning BMW 7-series of any kind in the Tomart Guide. (I just checked it again.) And we didn't include pre-pro models in the book. I also searched our casting list (which does contain some models never built) and only the Z3 and Z8 show up for BMW. Sorry but I'm not sure what you saw.
