I have both a JL 69 Camaro (yellow) and an M2 69 Camaro (maroon) 1/24th diecast here. Of all of the 69 Camaro replicas out there in 1/64th, 1/32nd, 1/43rd, 1/24th. and 1/18th, I have never seen one that looks to be in perfect proportion. Even the plastic build kits seem to have too thick of a body. Notice from the top of the door to the lowest body point.
This JL is close but the body seemed to be a bit on the narrow side, and the yellow front spoiler under the front bumper made it look worse, I thought. I painted the spoiler flat black and that helped in my opinion.
Bodywise, I thought the M2 Camaro was perfect from what I remember my uncle's real 69 Z/28 looking like as far as body height and width.

The main drawback with the M2 are the wabbly and sagging wheels, and the engine seems to be out of scale. It's labeled as an SS 396, but the big blocks had much wider valve covers and filled the engine compartments much more. This one looks more like a 350, or a 302 small block.

The detail is also amazing on the M2. The only detail I added was the black throughout the hood vents. The JL also has some super detail and is one solid model.

This is how the JL came from the box with the front spoiler under the bumper, that I painted flat black...

Being a major gear~head and auto enthusiast, this is a factor that has always kinda bugged me a bit... Also being a Ford, and Mustang man, I have always had a strong and major amount of respect and admiration for the 69 Camaro... Especially the Z/28s... They were full race cars disguised as street cars...
What's you guys' opinions concerning the 69 Camaro?
