Found the most recent batch of Matchbox with the orange F-Type and blue Cadillac CTS. Guess which model was missing? The Skyline :(

Well, it's about time for the local TRU to restock the Matchbox singles, so maybe tomorrow morning's visit will yield some goodies! (I'm pessimistic.....so I expect the same situation as the past month.....nothing new.) Thanks for the heads up, though!

:toy: I will be going through Fargo on Monday but haven't decided if I will stop at TRU or not - it has never been that great a store for diecast.

I would not pass up any chance of finding our cars if I couldn't visit those stores any time I wanted......but I've walked into many a store while away from home, repeatedly on recurrent trips, and been frustrated that 'nothing had changed since the last time'. That's the 'problem' with retail supply and demand....you just never know what you might find if you don't see for yourself.

After this message was posted I figured I have to go to TRU this morning because they get deliveries Thursday and should have new stock out Friday morning; but, I have no expectation there will be any new Matchbox on the pegs. TRU here is worse than Walmart for frequency of restocking Matchbox. They even moved all the larger-scale diecast (GL, Jada, M2, etc) to an end cap from a cubby-hole in the old Fast Lane/dolls wall....and there are far fewer of those larger-scale cars in stock now.

Still, I intend to be there as the doors open today just in case. I have the advantage that the store is just over a mile from my house.....so I can keep my 'eye' on it regularly.

TRU did indeed restock Matchbox singles, but it was batch G, which I'm already done with. Over at Dollar Tree, batch H was added! But, I've also gotten almost everything I want from that batch, too. Waiting for K and the upcoming L batches to come around. Oh, my nearest Walmart restocked with J....but it appears I'm done with that batch, too. Sheesh.....I should be SOOOOOOOO happy!

TRU also added two new 'licensed' 5-packs: the Discovery (TV/cable) Shark Week set, and Animal Planet's Monster Week set. I'll put up a photo of both shortly. I think they're listed at $6.99.....I guess because of the Discovery and Animal Planet licenses.....nothing of interest for me in either pack.
