I've had my hands full and not a lot of news, but I thought some of you might enjoy what I got today.

Wow! Santa must have a breakdown in his distribution chain just like Walmart! Those are great two-packs, and to arrive now after how many years? I wouldn't mind having any one of those models in my collection.....

I like them, even found one of those myself a number of years ago at a local toy show, it was expensive though and the lady wouldn't even consider dropping her price even a little, since the models were common ROW issues, but I didn't have them and thought the stocking was a neat package too.

Never seen the Blaze Buster with that sticker on it before, usually just the FIRE label. From checking the BAMCA site it looks like that one was from a King Size set or something, they must have had extra labels or models and used them up for these issues.

You must have been a very, very good boy to get an early present like that from Santa.

I do have the Blaze Buster in my collection with the No. 32 labels. Can not remember how I got it - if it was one I bought in a store or from a flea market or where for sure. I am not home and won't be for another week so can't offer a picture of mine right now.

By my understanding, it's from a gift set. There's another Christmas Offer with the Blaze Buster available, but with the regular sticker.

So, Christmas 1985, what I wanted most were the Ford Escort XR3i and the BMW 323i. Close to Christmas, a drug store that ordinarily did not carry Matchbox cars suddenly got in gobs of them. Half were run of the mill; the other half were these ROW models from several years prior. The two that stood out to me most were the Rescue Unimog and the Citroën CX. Long story short, I got the Ford Escort XR3i and the BMW 323i, but we never saw any of these again until the advent of eBay. I got myself the Rescue Unimog in 2000, but it took another sixteen years for the Citroën CX. I now have the Police Patrol both with and without "Securité" on the bonnet.
