The Frist Center, an art museum in Nashville has had an exhibit running for the past couple months of classic Italian designs. I finally got down there to check it out, and WOW! I don't even have words to describe how amazing it was, so just check out the pics...

And don't ask me to pick a favorite, because they're all my favorites. There were only 20 or so cars there, but I spent well over 2 hours just standing and staring.

And the wonderful Lane Motor Museum in Nashville was offering 50% off admission if you went to the above exhibit first. I'd been to the Lane several times before, but it's such an interesting museum you really can't pass up an opportunity to go again. I love the Lane because most of the cars in there are totally attainable dream cars. I'd say only a handful are worth more than $50k. Here are some of the new and cool additions since last time I went.

Where to begin. Objectively, there is nowhere to begin, all are stunning. But rather biased, that 250 GTO! I have yet to see one in person. I'm sure that will be rectified some day, but I think I would have spent 2 hours just in front of that one. What's the red one behind the Bizzarrini? I know I know it, but the name is escaping me at 2am.

Wow, impressive exhibit! Art musuems usually do cars right and that one was no exception.

How/why does the Lane Motor Museum have any of those recent foreign market cars?

Fascinating car, it's called an ATS 2500 GT. Build by a bunch of ex-Ferrari employees, including Carlo Chiti that wanted to beat Enzo. That didn't work, apparently their attempt at an F1 car was pretty horrible. There were only 12 of the produced apparently.

Yeah they did an art deco car exhibit a couple years ago, and it was of the same caliber. Pics are buried in my Flickr somewhere.

They import them under a show and display permit. But they do all get exercised regularly.

Wow, talk about a quality autoshow. All of those are amazing - really doesn't need too much cars to do justice to those. That Ferrari Superamerica is in my opinion one of the most beautiful cars of all time.

Does.
Let's see, if I leave at 6am I could be there for brunch.
