Picked these today. Not the best, but it's been a dry summer. :)

They are good looking castings, would be good resto/custom candidates.

Well the Corvette isn't a color I've seen a lot and Haven't seen that MM Benz before. Looks like good pickups to me.

If you were asking and - I havent researched the MB casting in depth, but a quick glance shows it should be a '76 based on the soft bumpers front and back with bumperettes and the sugar scoop back window design. The actual front body emblems would be the only other way to determine for sure from the front - where it would be a circle in '76 and crossed flag fairly flat v looking emblem in '77. The rear letter one as shown on the casting (abit to large though) - was used in both '76 and '77. The rear gas door looks like a '76 circle emblem as well, but could be just missing like the front.

Indeed! The Corvette was the first one (of this #62 model) in my collection, and I always liked that body style - since I was a teen in those production years (not my favorite, but pretty good). My favorite 'Vette was the 1968 era - like the first redline Hot Wheels. The color of this one was rich, and the chips are not too bad. Thanks for the comments (to all). Interesting to get the comparison perspective.

I had also never seen the Motormax C Class. My wife actually spotted it. There was also another one deeper in the box, but it was abused. Looked like the kid had deliberately scraped the hood against the sidewalk a few times.

Funny thing, there were four or five other English-made Superfast in this box, but they were a little too beat (and the price was $2.00 each - high for the condition IMHO), and they all seemed to have the name "JON" written on the bottom in green marker. I wonder if "Jon" knows (or cares) that his old cars have made it to the antique shop (haha). My examples were free of any such markings.

Before posting and updating my DB, I figured it for a 1976 ('77 also looked like that from memory). Not sure about the range of years for that body style. Hang on - let's check the web...looks like 1974-1977. In any event, it's currently listed in my database as a 1976.
