A few months ago at a hobby store I found a couple of 1:32 scale Lindberg plastic model kits on closeout for under four bucks each. The static model kit (origin: 1960 Palmer model) contains 30+ parts molded in white and clear only, no rubber or chrome plated parts. It's rated at a Skill Level 2, probably due to the fact that the body is in three parts-two side slabs with interior details and the central core. This was a fun kit to do even with all the painting required and detailing necessary. My next version of this fastback Chevy will be a custom ride with door handles, hood ornaments, side trim, and rear deck ornaments all shaved off, lowered suspension, and a custom paint job. Thanks for looking... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Looking good, especially as you had to paint all the trim. Maybe just something for the headlights? |

Love your projects Phil. Those old Chevies were my favorites. I am not to sure about the enhanced body lines. There is another member that uses the same technique. Body lines need to be there with subtlety. The black with the yellow has way to much "in-your-face" contrast. Remember, that is only my opinion. Otherwise this car rocks! |

I pondered the action of whether or not to silver behind the clear headlight lenses. If the area behind the lenses are silvered, it is possible that the clear lenses would not be very visible at all. I should try it on one to see the result. |

What about a piece of foil behind it? Or maybe go nuts and score some lines in the lenses? |

Thanks. Regarding the lines, I will wait a month or so until the yellow paint has thoroughly dried and then go over these lines with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. This will dissolve what's on the paint and leave a smaller line in the cavities. This will also dull the lines some, too, making them less pronounced. |
