`PJ in hospital; prayer request

My husband, John (PJ) asked me to let you all know that he is in the hospital ICU in Bismarck with blood clots to his lungs. He had prostate surgery the week before and got a large blood clot in his leg that broke off and sent two large clots to his lungs. Because the clots were almost blocking his pulmonary arteries they had to do the clot busting drugs. But those broke open the prostate surgery and he started to bleed. He's had 15 units of blood. They've had to stop all blood thinning drugs to deal with the bleeding. So they put a filter in his vein to catch any more clots that may develop. In the mean time we're having to wait to let the bladder clear up. The plan is that when his urine has been clear for 24 hours, they will restart heparin. They won't let him out of ICU until all has been finished.

We're asking for prayers, for healing, for peace, that his urine would clear up yesterday (which it didn't).

Thank you so much.

I'm sorry to hear of what he's going through. What a miserable catch-22, stop the thinning drugs so the clotting becomes worse or maintain them so his fresh surgery starts to bleed. I can't (honestly) offer prayer, but I do sincerely hope he make a speedy and full recovery. Is there any assistance of a more material nature that can be provided?

You mention urine clearing up, is he passing blood with it? That would be quite the shock if one wasn't prepared for it.
