I have some National Geographic magazines from 1972 & 1973. Looking through a few I ran across these cool old ads of cars. Pretty cool to look at.

These Toyota ads were pretty cool to compare...

This one from 2015

Funny how much thicker and more photos in the older ones. Less ads too. The 2012-1016s are smaller, thinner, and many more ads...LOL

If I had it my way these type of ads would be all that would be on my walls. I really like the Chevrolet station wagon/Van ad. Thanks for sharing.

:toy: Old car ads are fun to look at - I have a number of ones for Edsel and Studebaker and yes...they hang on the walls of my toy room. As a matter of fact a couple of the Studebaker ads are from Brazil and in Portuguese - the language of Brazil.

Plymouth Cricket? Never heard of it before. Looks a lot like European Sunbeam/Hillman Avenger. Is that a captive import or a real American car?

I used to have old ads hung up on the walls of my room when I still lived at home...and even a few in my first place outside of "home." Now? They are all in the garage because of the wife :P

It appears you are correct.
