I'm all for this! Too bad it's a NZ exclusive though. How about some San Francisco cable cars? Any other towns with cable cars come to mind? Edited by toyotageek, Dec 28 2016, 02:30 PM.

Those are neat. Interesting that the first release will be for the New Zealand market. I used to have a contact in New Zealand in the old MCCH days but lost track of him when that forum shut down. A lot of cities had cable cars/trollies at one time - San Francisco would be a natural choice to me. The year I lived in the bay area the system was shut down for renovations.

Toronto still has them, I'd never take a TTC bus if a streetcar route is an option.

Should be popular with the S-Scale train enthusiasts. You know, GL should branch into the railroad scales of 1/87 (HO) 1/160 (N), and 1/220 (Z). It would do well. Interesting piece. Curious what's underneath. Railroad trucks or tires. Not one I'm crazy about--but a piece unique enough to get if it's got a more widespread release as a regular casting. Maybe GL will do emergency services agencies out of NZ later on. |

Looking at the photos, you can see a bit of reflection on the surface which the cars are standing, and it appears to look like train wheels. |

Cool! Tomica has success with its trains in Japan, I wonder if there could be a market for some trains elsewhere. |

Angel's Flight in L.A. Not a cable car, but the old Red Car in L.A. would be good too. |
