Just saw a listing for a number of new GL emergency vehicles coming later this year. No art work yet. Hot Pursuit 23 2009 Jeep Wrangler - Burlington, WI 1967 Chevy Biscayne - Indiana State Police 1991 Ford Mustang - Kentucky State Police 1967 Ford Custom - Chicago Police 2016 Dodge Charger - New York State Police 2016 Ford PI Utility - Denver, CO Hobby Exclusive 2016 Ford F-150 with life guard accessories (guessing a generic livery?) Hitch and Tow 10 FDNY Ford Explorer with Special Operations Command Trailer Ford F-150 with boat/trailer - Homeland Security I think this variety of models will drain my piggy bank. I am glad they are adding to their government offerings with the Homeland Security set. Keep hoping for some Customs/Border Patrol models. Also looking forward to the FDNY special ops set. I am wondering how the '67 Ford Custom will be different from the one released in HP-16? And sadly still no Canadian departments - was hoping with the Canadian mail truck coming that maybe and hopefully we would see some RCMP, OPP, Securite Quebec and other Canadian cars. Guess we just need to keep those "cards and letters" and emails going to GL with our suggestions!

I wonder if the Special Operations Command Trailer is a new casting or the food trailer in a new paint job. The 67 ford could just have a differing light bar on it. |

The FDNY Hitch and Tow sounds good, my only wish was they used a pick up instead of the Explore. The Explores in FDNY are mainly used for EMS supervisors and some administrative positions, where as a pick up is more likely to be used to haul the trailers. For a trailer in the FDNY set I imagine they will use the basic enclosed cargo trailer, as most of the SOC trailer I have seen are of that style but larger then the GL offering.![]() SOC is the division with in FDNY that overseas Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Marine and other specialized disciplines outside the standard fire or ems companies duties. Although all Firefighters receive training in these areas, those assigned to units in SOC complete very extensive and specialized training related to these specialties. The Lifeguard truck sounds good, it would be nice if they release it in the livery of an actual agency. Edited by Brian49, Jan 1 2017, 09:36 PM.

real good news- sounds like a lot of stuff in the pipeline. I checked the GL flickr: no pix yet. I hope that Chicago PD is a typo... I love those CPD releases so far- but they already spent that nickel. can't wait to see some pix on these. |

Just a quick update here, that Chicago PD Ford Custom is a typo, you are correct. That was copied from a previous release by mistake. It should be New Jersey State Police in place of it. |
