Volkswagen LT 28 or 31.

I owned Doppelkabine LT28 for few years. It was transformed into a wrecker. When there was car on the bed, it was even slow, but didn't take any more diesel than with empty bed.

Mmm, not exactly.

It's a Pegaso Ekus, a rebadged version of the VW LT: http://vwlt.co.uk/about-the-vw-lt/

That's new information to me. Thanks.

MAN used LT's cabin on the smaller trucks.

LT's 2.4 straight 6 diesel engine was used also in Volvo passenger cars.

These 2 old Chevy trucks were sitting in an empty adjacent property lot in an older section of my hometown. Can't recall the date of when these pictures were taken, it has been 7-8 years at least since I've been by here. Plates show a last registration date of June of 1996. I found the lot on Google Maps, and the only snap shot it has is June 2012 and the lot is empty. I would guess these pictures are from 2009/2010

I see trucks this old being used by tree service and signage companies here. Must have been that the company went bust, or the owner died is why they were parked.

Man, split window Vette and Brat. The rear wheel wells will be gone from that thing sitting in the damp, if they weren't already. :(

All of these photos were taken in the 1990īs.
Long before digital photography. Buying film rolls, developing them, waiting impatiently how they would turn out.

All of the cars have been long gone, most likely to the crusher. With very strict environmental laws these days, there are simply no abandoned vehicles around anymore.

Nothing good ever happens after midnight.
That DS and the Opel truck though... :(
I like seeing whitestripe tyres on a DS...makes it look like a real luxury car.
