So, you 'touched that up'? I thought it was an upgrade you bought or traded up for...... Looks like you did a pretty good job and didn't mess it up at all! And to think I was about to ask what you intended to do with the older, beat up model since you obviously had "replaced" it with the "new" one! (Hint: I wanted your old beat up one......)

Thank you !
This time I was lucky that I just (almost) perfectly matched the original color... B)

Normally I don't like and collect renovated models, but for such rare models like this one I need to make some "final touch" :P

No. 706 | BUBY | Peugeot 504 Bomberos

Thank you !

When I see your ROZKVET post, I just tought that you were going to find it out...
PS: Btw, I really wonder if there is any ROZKVET fire car model available?

So here are the details:

Not much about the brand, PINMARK - mostly sure that it is POLISH brand (and probably produced also in Poland - since its die-cast material is really heavy B) )

The next time, the question-model will be a little bit easier... ^_^

I knew that STRAZ was Polish but could not place the car. Neat to see a brand that is new to me!

Guilloy's Mercedes Benz airport fire truck......also released in AlItalia livery. I have the same version as you....the Iberia airlines truck.

Interesting that airlines, rather than the city/state administration, apparently had their own fire apparatus at the airport. I tried to dig into that a bit, but couldn't find much information about why these had Airline logos rather than simply an airport fire brigade.

[Edit: I believe there are "airline" fire departments, like the Boeing airport at the Boeing factory near Seattle, WA. But I don't know if these Guilloy toys were based on such an airline factory/maintenance facility separate from a local municipal airport.]

That's a 492 GUILOY – IBERIA “SERVICIO AEROPUERTO” TRUCKS ca.1982.
The Series was released in the 80s and it represents 10 white Mercedes trucks with airport service logos. Scale is 1/124 and all are the same trucks with different loads.
They were sold in an cardboard panel like the pic here after.

After seeing carcollector's set, I remember something I did find out about the Guiloy truck......"Antifuego" seems to refer to fire-suppressing foam. It had been on top of my 'most-wanted' list for years, but for much of that time I wasn't sure it was a "fire engine", even though it was listed as such in at least two books on miniature/diecast emergency vehicles. Seeing it in the larger (set) context, with all those other airline company 'service' vehicles, I'm back to waffling on it's true purpose in light of the "service" vehicle designation. But I'll keep it and keep calling it a fire truck until I hear definitive evidence otherwise. :P

wow - it was really quick...

As far as I know, Guiloy had airport service play-set including tanker, fire rescue, carrier, etc. and each play-set were labelled with different airway logos per region. Just like a kind of airways promotion maybe?

Oki, so here is another "very secret" car - and this is a bit harder to identify! :P

Hi Again after a long time !

The correct answer is below, DICOYS (Spanish producer) - but I am not sure if it is still active in the market?:

No. 732 | DICOYS | Renault R-18 Cuerpo Jefe Bomberos

Meanwhile, I just renovated my Pinmark Fire Chief, it looks better now :)

No. 758 | PINMARK | Volvo 760 Straz Fire Brigade

It was my previous question... Namely, PINMARK - a polish die-cast brand:

Those Polish models are very cool and are exactly the kind of 'obscure' brand I would love to add to my collection. I want to have every brand, every casting (fire/emergency, of course), from around the world. But, my house isn't as big as a museum, so I guess it's a blessing I can't get what I want...
